Mission Statement

Modoc Nation Behavioral Health’s (MNBH) mission is to infuse hope, heal trauma, and foster growth and resiliency in the community by providing education, resources, and behavioral health services. MNBH utilizes evidence-based practices and healthy connections with people, animals, and the environment to promote personal wellness.

About Us

The Healing House program provides outpatient behavioral health treatment to youth and adults (5 years - young adult), native and non-native.  We offer a variety of individualized and community-based services to address issues such as trauma, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, family conflict, grief and loss, and more.

Our Services

Counseling

We offer individual, family, and group therapy utilizing interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Play Therapy.  Services are offered in the office, at home, at school, and via tele-therapy.

Support Services

Our Youth Recovery Support Specialists assist clients with developing life skills and case management such as housing, food security, employment, and other needs.

Training Opportunities

We provide training to community members and professionals including suicide prevention training – Living Works Safe Talk, Question. Persuade. Refer. (QPR), Trauma-Informed Care, Youth/Adult Mental Health First Aid, and Positive Indian Parenting.

Insurance

We accept SoonerCare. Financial support available for those that qualify. Please call for information about which insurance is accepted.

Our Providers

Kathy Glover, LPC

MNBH Program Director

Kathy Glover is the Program Director for Modoc Nation Behavioral Health. Kathy is trained in EMDR, TF-CBT, and Somatic Information Processing, and adolescent substance use. She believes the therapeutic relationship is what provides the greatest healing power to clients.  She also believes that relationships are built on trust, honesty, communication, support and acceptance. 

Kristen Hurlbert, LCSW

Clinical Supervisor

Kristen Hurlbert is a Clinical Supervisor and specializes in working with teens and adults. She has experience working with clients with a history of trauma, depression, anxiety, as well as other life issues. She is trained in CBT, EMDR, and IFS.

Sarah Miller, LCSW

Clinical Administrative Supervisor

Sarah Miller is the Clinical Administrative Supervisor and a children and family therapist for Modoc Nation Behavioral Health. She is a trained in TF-CBT, EMDR, and Somatic Information Processing. 

Jacob Crowder, LCSW

Licensed Behavioral Health Professional

Jacob Crowder specializes in working with individuals aged 5 -young adult with issues related to personality disorders, trauma, anxiety, and depression. He is trained in TF-CBT, CBT, EMDR, and Somatic Information Processing.

Michelle Galan, LPC

Licensed Behavioral Health Professional

Michelle Galan specializes in working with individuals aged 7 – young adult, with issues related to trauma, anxiety, self-esteem, and depression. Michelle is trained in CBT and TF-CBT. 

Caressa Russell, LCSW

Licensed Behavioral Health Professional

Caressa Russell specializes in working with individuals aged 8 – young adult with issues related to trauma, anxiety, and depression. Caressa is trained in CBT, TFCBT, EMDR, SIP, and EAMH.

Tiffani Harkins, LCSW

Licensed Behavioral Health Professional

Tiffani Harkins specializes in working with youth struggling with issues related to trauma, anxiety, and depression. She is trained in TF-CBT, EMDR, EA-EMDR, and Somatic Information Processing. 

Jason Brandon

Behavioral Health Professional

Jason Brandon is an Oklahoma LPC Candidate who enjoys working with adolescents and young adults. Jason has training to assist clients in understanding and managing anxiety, depression, self-esteem, trauma, and other mental health symptoms. He has Geek Therapy Certification, training in Somatic and Information Processing, and is currently taking additional training in Play Therapy techniques.

Jenny Simpson

Behavioral Health Professional

Jenny Simpson specializes in working with individuals 6– 25 years old with issues related to trauma, anxiety, and depression. Jenny is trained in CBT and EMDR.
